Getting Inspiration from family pictures
This is my grandfather, Alfred Ludwig, with his favorite draft horse.
My family was in the ice business in Connecticut from 1889 to 1944. Originally oxen and draft horses were used to haul ice from the lakes.
In the background are two ice delivery carriages and the family’s first truck —a chain driven Mack.
