Why Old Family Photos are Our Greatest Treasures
Mom. Miami Beach, 1950s.
My father took this photo of her on the beach, when they were newlyweds. It’s one of a set; the other is a photo of my father, taken by my mother.
Being born and raised in South Florida, my Mom loved to be around the water, a love she passed onto me.
She taught me to swim around the same time I learned to walk. She taught other children, too, through the Red Cross.
We spent many happy days playing in the surf and sand.
Over the past few years, Mom has developed some memory issues, but we still love going through the old family photos and reminiscing.
The photos are her greatest treasures. Mine as well. ~shared by @ebarber954
