How Family Photographs Can Link Us to Our Past
My absolute favorite photo of my great-grandfather, Michael Miranda in 1936 in California. He was just 27 years old.
He was standing outside of the small market that he and his siblings ran in Monrovia, CA. It was called “Miranda’s Market.” They operated the market together for seven years.
Although he passed away at the young age of 47, and I never had a chance to know him, I have always felt a strong connection to him.
This photo is something I cherish; it is one of the things that reminds me of my link to the past, and is a piece of my family history. ~shared by @pleasureinpain
