My grandmother rowing a boat on Lake Wisconsin. Our family had a beautiful cottage on the Lodi side of the lake.

My grandparents and great-grandparents owned a drugstore, so they took every chance they had to go to the lake for the weekend.

My grandparents were Eagle Scout Leader and Den Mother for over 20 years. (That somewhat explains her trendy outdoor attire in this photo!) I can only dream of being a pioneer of nature as she was. I still have the old family tee-pee that my grandmother helped hand-repair with her own thread.

She is our family’s strongest matriarch. I’m honored to have her blood running through mine. ~shared by @lisalouise143
