Picturing a Bond Between a Brother and Sister Who Traveled the World Together
My brother and me in West Java, circa 1975.
One of the joys of having had a Dad in the foreign service is finding random photos of yourself in cool places.
My brother and I had a hard time keeping friendships because we moved around so much, but there’s something so amazing about the bond we share. Sometimes it really felt like it was just the two of us.
We also lived in places that time sort of forgot, like Ghana, India, and Indonesia, which makes all the photos seem especially unreal now.
We were both in our 20’s when we lost our parents, so we really do only have each other and these photos to tell us about our past. ~shared by @duvenay
