This photo was taken of our mom Shirley and our father Hugh shortly after he returned from overseas.

Mom loves this photo because it reminds her of the early days of their romance and her independent spirit as a working girl.

Apparently, everyone in their office except for them knew they were smitten with each other!

Dad tells the story of when he first saw mom. She was dancing alone with a broom to the sounds of Glen Miller and his orchestra.

My sisters and I love this photo of our parents because to us, it reflects mom’s fun-loving, flirtatious nature, which is still a part of her today at almost ninety one!

Although dad passed away over a decade ago, mom says she still gets butterflies in her tummy when she thinks about those days. ~shared by @lifetimestalk
