Do you know the stories of your ancestors? Do you know what they loved most?
My grandmother told me that he looked at her like this every day.
This expression is true to my grandmother, while my grandfather watches her and absorbs every ounce of her beauty and smiles from ear to ear.
Do you know the stories of your ancestors?
Do you know their favorite dessert was chocolate-covered cherries or that they loved a fresh grapefruit in the morning?
Do you remember the way their home smelled after breakfast was cooked or the way “Live from the Grand Ole Opry” sounded drifting through the house from your grandparents HiFi?Do you know who you got your brown eyes and auburn hair from? Do you know why you love peach ice cream or the smell of dirt after a long summer rain?
Soak up every moment, every memory, every scent, every scene, the way a breeze feels through a kitchen window, the way water tastes from a garden hose, the way your grandmother’s voice sounds saying “I love you.” Soak up all of the goodness that surrounds you and relish in those things every day.
Love the life that your ancestors laid before you, and never forget them. ~shared by @hensonjade
