Vintage Photos and Memories from the Big Easy
Let’s look back to the Big Easy for some Southern stories.
This is my beautiful Grandmother as a young girl with her Dad in the late 1950s at the Roosevelt hotel in New Orleans. Just look at those outfits and the awesome hairstyles!
The Roosevelt has a long history and is a beacon of luxury in the South. The hotel hosted many famous people like Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Jack Benny and Bob Hope. Everyone who visited, including my own family, added a chapter to the legendary hotel’s history.
My grandmother was born in November 1949 and died in November 2013. She, along with the rest of our family, have had lasting legacy in New Orleans.
