This is Why I Love My Collection of Vintage Family Photos
This is my mom, Dorothy, who grew up in a small town in Wisconsin.
Looking at this photo, I always wondered if she was afraid of the horse or if she was ‘hamming it up’ as she enjoyed performing in school plays…probably a bit of both!
Mom liked being fashionable and dressed up for her day of visiting friends in the country – the shoes!
I love my collection of photos of mom’s free spirited days with friends before she became a more (outwardly) sedate nurse and minister’s wife. ~shared by @wizened_gnome
